Remember that place I told you about? Where they had yummy strawberry margaritas? Well, I didn't have a front view of the place when I wrote that post on my blog, so here it is...my favorite spot on the strip (for now).
Last weekend I made it a point to ride the Las Vegas Monorail on the strip to see what the hype was all about. I mean, when someone comes to visit I'm bound to be asked the question "where does it go" so I wanted to take the trip myself. It was a nice, short ride (worth $5) on the back of the strip and its main purpose served as a way to avoid traffic and get to your destination faster without dealing with the hustle of having to walk with everyone else on the strip. Oh, and it's supposed to also save you on cab rides from hotel to hotel. I say it's a convenient transportation for our visitors to use it instead of walking outside having to deal with the chilly winds or blistering heat (depending on the season). I mean, some of our visitors just wanna see all the other hotels on the strip (and gamble at different locations, of course). I even took a picture while we were on the move. You can make out some parts of the strip from the monorail.
We stay pretty close to the Nellis Air Force Base here in Las Vegas so since it was a pretty day, we decided to take some pictures in the park where some planes are displayed.
